Primary Responsibilities St.
Lawrence University invites applications for a new tenure-track position in Mathematics at the assistant professor level within the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, to begin on August 15, 2024.
Our department currently has fourteen full-time faculty members and offers four majors: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, in addition to several interdisciplinary majors offered across campus.
We are one of the top schools in the country in percentage of students majoring in mathematical sciences.
The ideal candidate will contribute to our calculus sequence as well as our upper-level electives.
Special consideration will be given to applicants able to teach a mathematical modeling course.
The teaching expectation at St.
Lawrence is three courses per semester.
The university offers generous support for conference travel and an option for a pre-tenure sabbatical.

Minimum Qualifications A Ph.
D.
in Mathematics or a related field by August 15, 2024, a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting, and evidence of excellence in teaching and research potential.
Preferred Qualifications Salary Salary Range $70,500 - $76,000 annually.
The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
