Provide comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals with chronic illnesses and handicaps, ensuring they receive appropriate medical attention, medication management, and monitoring.
Conduct thorough assessments of incarcerated individuals to determine their healthcare needs and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers, adhering to all relevant protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
Implement and oversee Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs for individuals with substance use disorders, including the evaluation, initiation, and monitoring of MAT protocols.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and educational programs to enhance the delivery of healthcare services within the correctional facility.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care and stabilization as required, following established emergency protocols.
